Overview

The Village of Hinsdale serves as an ideal base for commerce, education, and suburban living. Located 21 miles west of Chicago, Hinsdale offers natural beauty, hometown charm, and a friendly community atmosphere.

The downtown area is located in the center of town and remarkably, little has changed considering the many tear downs that have occurred in town. Additionally, Hinsdale’s downtown area is a National Register Historic District. The village has restaurants, different types of shops, and various services, as well as being served by  Metra’s BNSF Railway Line at three stations:West Hinsdale, Hinsdale, and Highlands.

Hinsdale is served by School District 181 as well as the communities of Clarendon Hills, parts of Burr Ridge, Oak Brook and Willowbrook. Hinsdale Township High School District 86 also serves the community of Hinsdale.
