Overview

Located in Kendall County, and settled by early pioneers in 1836, Yorkville is also the county seat of Kendall. Yorkville is in the center of the county and according to statistics released in 2010 by CNN, Yorkville is the fastest-growing county in the United States. Many of the city’s remaining historic single-family homes are found within walking distance of Bridge Street, the courthouse and Union Hall. Yorkville is also the home of The Chapel on the Green, the oldest church in Kendall County.
